We collect the minimum data needed to run MicroSteps: your email, account preferences, and the tasks and focus sessions you create. We don't sell or share this data with third parties.
2. How we use it
Your data powers your experience inside MicroSteps — task breakdowns, momentum tracking, progress charts. Aggregated, anonymized usage data helps us improve the product.
3. AI & your tasks
When you request a task breakdown, the goal text is sent to our AI provider over an encrypted connection. No personally identifying information is attached, and providers are contractually barred from training on your inputs.
4. Storage & security
Data is encrypted at rest using AES-256 and in transit using TLS 1.3. We undergo annual third-party security audits.
5. Your rights
You can export all your data or delete your account at any time from Settings. Deletion is permanent and processed within 30 days.
6. Cookies
We use a single first-party cookie for session authentication. No third-party advertising or analytics cookies are set.
